Dr. Mahadeo Sukhai

Dr. Mahadeo Sukhai's vocation...

 

He is Canada's first blind biomedical researcher, as well as a team lead and head of the Variant Interpretation Group in the Advanced Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory at the University Health Network (Toronto), and is a consultant in accessible science education and organizational development. Dr. Sukhai has significant experience in higher education and disability, and serves as the Chair of the NEADS National Graduate Experience Taskforce.

 

 

His volunteer work...

 

He is also an active volunteer with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (as a member of its National Board of Directors, and Chair of the Public Education and Advocacy Committee) and the National Educational Association of Disabled Students (as a Senior Advisor and Director of its national scholarship program).
